Abstract

True worship is worship that pleases God, and this can be realized in a person's life if he surrenders himself completely to God and is humbly willing to worship with fellow believers, where God's people are commanded to sanctify the day by offering worship to God. This study aims to examine the extent to which youth understanding of the meaning of worship plays a role as a foundation in building their faithfulness in worship in the neighborhood of GMIM Kharisma Buha Congregation. The background of this research is based on the decline in youth activeness in worship. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results showed that youth understand worship as an obligation that must be carried out, but the meaning is still limited. This study recommends the importance of contextual and relevant approaches in youth development in order to create a strong understanding and growing faithfulness in worship life.
