Abstract
This study aims to identify effective missiological strategies in increasing the participation of the GMIM Maranatha Paslaten congregation, especially those who work as traders at the Wilken Market in Tomohon. Using a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and participant observation, this study found that the main factors influencing absenteeism were busy working hours and the lack of a contextual approach from the church. The proposed missiological strategies include a contextual service approach, flexibility of worship times, and empowerment of small groups based on market communities. These findings indicate the importance of the church adopting a missiological approach that is responsive to the socio-economic dynamics of the congregation.
